For this project the client wanted me to

design an event around one of their events involving the topic of space and Star Wars. So for my sketches I tried to incorporate both of those elements throughout. I ended up drawing various imagery of planets, light sabers, astronauts, and darth vader.

Style Frames

In the first scene I Illustrate a astronaut suit using multiple different shape layers. Next, I create some circle shapes and animate them to orbit around like planets. Afterwards, I feather the mask of the astronaut, to create a reflective looking visual. Then, I layer the planets on top of the  mask to make it look like like the astronaut is staring at distant planets.

For the bottom scene I create a multiple circles in shape layers to act as planets. I leave the biggest circle stable and animate the small ones to orbit around it. I then rotate the camera and scale, to give more depth to the animation.
